Whispers of Time
The ancient walls of Nicea, now Iznik in Turkey, have seen damage, reconstruction, and history over the last 2000 years. Their five kilometer length encloses the old city and consists of an inner and outer wall with four main gates. Today they are in various states of repair but they still add to the flavor and appeal of the town – and grace my garden.
