I had this crazy idea to embroider Ottoman designs on old post cards, not realizing how small and how thick the old postcards were!
So, I photographed the posts cards, printed them on more suitable paper and in a more workable size.
These post cards all date from the very early 1900’s, prior to the establishment of the Turkish Republic in 1923. I find them fascinating and a window into a world that is no longer.
